I had a problem the other day with the way the posts were going in. Late at night, frustrated because I coudln't figure it out (which is nothing new for me) I emailed the owner who does the tech support.
By the next morning I had a response. He found the problem and fixed it for me. Then told me where it was. Somehow I had inadvertently clicked a button. That's what I had figured, but had gone thru everything except this one area and couldn't find it. I would never have thought to check in the theme appearance.
Do I get that fast response from Wordpress itself? No! I have to find the theme's author and email them. And maybe get a response and maybe not.
This wonderful support from the tech side and also from the marketing side is reason enough to pay $9.95 a month while building my referrals when it will then be free. Having one url to advertise is great too.
I'm finding out that in real estate the in-home appraiser is not going to be needed. AOL, Zillow and other online sites can now appraise your home merely by comparing the square footage of your house to the others that have sold in the area.
Makes no difference that you have landscaped differently, that you've made upgrades in or outside, that you've had no pets or smokers. My house is now compared just like everyone else's. The one that has had dogs that smelled and tore up the carpet, not painted, the cheapest of appliances.
I even had a real appraiser tell me over the phone he could tell me how much the appraisal would be right then while I was talking to him.
Only make home improvements if you want them, not towards receiving more when you sell the house. Only make them to keep your house safe.
Spring is here, finally. My excuses to not work are gone. The sun is shining and it's now time to get to work.
Work for me is expanding my networking skills, updating my websites and expanding my marketing activities.
Yes I know that's what winter should have been for. But it was so cold, and so gloomy I just couldn't get motivated. I believe I have SAD. This is a deficiency of sunlight. I just get depressed in the winters and all the very cold and snow we've had this winter haven't helped.
Time to figure out the correct mix of personal and business postings in my social media networks.

I always thought it was easy to comment on someone's blog post. But I have come across several that I haven't been able to find a comment box on. So I've always let it go, figuring my computer didn't like that particular system for some reason.
I was kind of surprised this morning when someone told me she couldn't find the comment box. On hers it's just clicking on the word 'comments' and a box comes up.
On mine it's clicking on the title of the post, and a new page comes up with the post and a comment box at the bottom.
So if you want to make a post on someone's blog, don't go away frustrated. Try clicking the title or mousing over differnt parts until you find the box. It's there somewhere.
Also if you want to see what comments were made you have to click on the title and scroll to the bottom on the new page.
Oh boy, you just found a new group to chat with. You just came in all excited and just started talking but no one is talking to you. You’re disappointed and don’t know why you’re being ignored.
The right chat group is a wonderful thing. We make friends, we can get answers to our questions. We get great ideas about business activities and family. The people in the group can sympathize when something goes wrong, will shout HOORAY when something goes right. We get business referrals from others in the chats.
There are many reasons to join a chat group but there are some rules. Not many, but you don’t want to be the person ignored because you just jumped in and started talking.
My biggest peeve is when people come in and just start talking without waiting to see what’s going on. Especially in our group which has a lot of business presentations.
A person coming in and jumping in with her own agenda throws off the person presenting and takes everyone off topic.
So to make your chatting experience more beneficial and enjoyable for everyone here are a few suggestions.
Come in and say Hi.
Don’t ask what’s going on. Just wait and see what’s going on.
Don’t talk politics
Don’t talk religion unless someone else starts it and everyone joins in. We have such a diverse world on the internet with so many types of religion that it’s possible to offend people very easily.
If you have an off topic question for someone, PM (private message) them.
Don’t try to sell your products during the chat unless it’s one for that purpose.
If it’s a serious chat or you are hosting it then tell your children ahead of time you’ll be busy.
Wait your turn if the group is asked to post URLS
And don’t be ‘all about me’ all the time. Members dislike it in a chat group when you are always pushing your product. When you turn any statement into a plug for your product, it turns potential buyers off.
Don’t expect everyone to buy from you right away. Online people like to know the person they’re buying from and it will take awhile for the members of the group to get to know you.
Don't interrupt someone's presentation with comments about your product or how you don't like their product.
Networking is a lot fun and it’s great for referrals. But we have to get to know you. So bide your time, help the others if you can and the end result will be sales for you.

Hmm I was updating my other blog today and after learning about widgits and plug-ins here I am amazed that I can't get the same items on the purple blog. It has a note that the template which I really like isn't set up for widgits.
This template is only about a year old, I changed it sometime last year. And it seems every time I change themes I lose some of my blog's set up. But guess I will have to find a template that's been updated lately.
So I guess the users are not the only ones that have to keep updating. The authors of the templates do too.
